Amherst I
The 31.5 MW Amherst I wind farm is located in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia near the town of Amherst and the New Brunswick provincial border. The project consists of 15 Suzlon S97-2.1MW wind turbines located on approximately 1,000 acres under long-term lease agreements with local landowners. The wind farm was completed in April 2012 with the electrical output contracted to Nova Scotia Power Inc. under a twenty-five year Power Purchase Agreement.
